It's so fucking hot here it is hard to sentence but I wanted to say this was SO CUTE, and very you in how it went from sweet (OMG Bucky planning for Steve's birthday) to heartbreaking (SARAH) to hot (OMG Bucky) to Steve being dryly sarcastic. There is Bucky's best guy, indeed.

He couldn’t tell Steve how much he lived for that smile now, how if he did nothing else for the rest of his life but make Steve Rogers smile and forget his hurt for just a few minutes, then that would be a life well-lived.
