Hey, all you people of the great Pacific Northwest. I was talking to [livejournal.com profile] chaecha the other night, and she was amazed, as a relatively newer vidder, when I started telling her about all the vidders who live here that she wasn't yet aware of. She said, "I wish there was a community" and so lo and behold, I have made one on DW. I don't know why here instead of LJ, I just thought it might make sense since so many people in the Northwest seem to be migrating there heavily.

So, I give you [community profile] seavids, a DW community for much-larger-than-Seattle-area vidders and vid fans. I hope we can use it to make ourselves maybe a little more known to each other, and take advantage of the community to offer critique and betaing for vids, discuss things, seek help for problems, etc.

It's amazing how much vid talent there is in this region now, especially with all roads leading to Seattle the way they seem to. And when I say Seattle, I mean the region, really, it's just everyone thinks Pacific Northwest=Seattle, and whatnot.

Right now I have one sad little icon, so if anyone has any cool vidding related icons to send me, I'd love to add them to the community, and if any of you p-shop wizards or graphics people felt like making a custom design... I wouldn't object. I hope you will join!

We almost moved to Seattle once. That counts? So glad you and chaecha hooked up.

That's a good idea! I may set up a SoCal one at some point.

I can see I'm going to have to figure out all my Dreamwidth stuff, aren't I? I'll have to set aside some time for that. I really hope they implement Reading Filters soon if they haven't already. I use those to keep my communities out of my personal LJs. It's nice for me.

Yay I am glad you made it. And it was great to meet you the other night! You should post on [livejournal.com profile] pacific_slashers too. I'll send you an invite.
