Not that anyone really cares, but I have a new Mag 7 story up at my web site. mlynne made me say so here, because she insists this is what LJ is for (god, thumb screws hurt, ya know? And speaking of westerns, Firefly has been nixed by UPN. God only knows where else they could go. I don't understand how such horrid syndicated shows as Adventure Inc. (yes, it has the always-luscious Michael Biehn in it, but it still sucks) and the rest of them can keep getting renewed, but Firefly can't find support.

I feel so downhearted (and suddenly mentally channelling Primitive Radio Gods' sample of B.B. King singing "I been downhearted, baby, ever since the day we met" for no apparent reason) about this and... well, everything. Buffy will likely be ending, and the great new shows I found this year have all gone away but one. This was one of the most exciting tv seasons I've had in years -- Robbery Homicide Division blew me away, Firefly was everything I could ever have hoped for, MDs was superslashy goodness to the max with two favorite actors, Birds of Prey was fun and stupid and wonderful, and now they're all gone. Except for Without a Trace, everything I was excited for is cancelled.

Hard to believe I'm an adult woman, because I want to cry over all this. The forced death march down memory lane of all the shows I've loved in recent years that have been cancelled stings -- everything from Brimstone to Due South (although at least that got two seasons of the original) to EZ Streets to obscure gems like Buddy Faro, to about 75 others.

At least Hallmark channel is showing Magnificent 7 again, even if they are cutting them quite dramatically.

I share your pain... I'm liking Boomtown a lot, as well, which makes me so very nervous for it.

I'm having a love hate with Boomtown -- one week I'll like it, and the next I hate it. The one with the end of the affair with David and Andrea just kind sent me away for awhile, but then I'll turn around and like other eps. It seems to be doing fairly well, at least, NBC hasn't been disappointed in its performance. Keep your fingers crossed.

Never watched Boomtown or Firefly or even Robbery Homicide Division, but I feel your pain. I accidentally found the first episode of Haunted, and watched every episode after that. I'm still pissed off that it was cancelled. I *liked* that show the same way that I liked Brimstone and a hundred others.

So, are we all jinxes? I find that hard to believe. Maybe we just have different (better?) standards than the networks and the average Neilson family?

Great story. Am a horrible feedback giver. Just letting you know someone read it and appreciated it. After posting a Mag7 story to my LJ earlier this week and realizing no one has read it - let me just say I needed to let you know.

Oh cool, something to look for! If you're a horrid feedback giver, I'm a horrid reader. ;-) I never go out looking for M7 fic because I got so flinchy about it all. Just so much crap and I didn't have the strength to wade through in many cases.

I love your icon. I'm graphics impaired and would love to find some M7 icons for LJ -- did you make it yourself, or do you know of a place to find any?

I made the icon and I'm making more tonight if you want some. Vin? Chris? Both? Someone else?

Robin's screencapping a whole bunch of stuff for me from the first few eps when she gets home tonight, so I'll work on icons after that. Plus, I'm working on some manips that will be much too big for icons. I'll let you know when I post them.

More people need to feel the cowboy lurve...

Well, I do love them singly, but it's together when they make my heart go pitty pat! It's hard though because they're often on opposite sides of the frame. But hey, even one would be cool. I can proclaim my love... thank you so much!
