Almost famous
Nov. 27th, 2004 10:28 amAND as if the house gift wasn't enough, because, you know, it's pretty hard to top getting your house for a pressie, the contributor copy of the book my essay is in arrived in the mail yesterday. It's not much, but I have an essay in a real honest to god book with an ISBN number and everything. (Sacred Stones by Maril Crabtree, from Adams Media, ISBN 1-59337-113-6!) So I'm pretty darn excited, and I'm also writing a piece for Slate, where I have been working the past six months, on spec that I'm not sure they'll publish, but I can certainly try. I still keep vainly trying for the fiction, but it always seems to be the non-fiction that gets me published.
Quite a weekend, I'll tell you what.
A question: I've seen a couple people on my flist mention some mp3 LJs, and I can't seem to find them now. I think one was called audiogasm or something like that... but nothing resembling it is turning up in the searches.
