Okay, so it took me a while (gimme a break, I wrote a couple new things in the interim!), but I finally updated Measure of a Man with a new chapter. In which, again, nothing really happens except some round-robin flirting amongst various types, Angel and Spike reminisce about more than flirting, and we find out just what's going on with altered-state Spike. Zzzzz...

Many, many thanks to poor sweet_ali, who keeps getting double-teamed by me and other writers for her betaing assistance, and who still manages to fit things in amidst school and life. ::kisses ali::

On another note, superplin wrote a magnificent analysis and recap of Hellbound that leaves me almost speechless with awe. If you thought it was a weak story, this offers some interesting ideas that might even change your mind a little bit. If you liked it, go read and be blown away.

And whoo boy, there's new fic from devilpiglet! It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood!

Gah! I JUST got your reply to my beta (fucking yahoo) and now i see you posted, but everything you said about the chapter, is just fine and exactly waht i meant(about beign more subtle. not lose the context of what you were going for, just more subtle), so I'm sure it came out wonderfully and I'll stop now and check out the chappy myself and see that it is as lovely as i expect.

I needed to tell you how amazing that last chapter was, I adored the interaction between Spike and Angel and smiled at the Spike , Fred Wes time. You are just extraordinary and my heart is breaking with the possible future loss. I can't wait to see how he goes with the Sunnydale crew but I'm going to miss your AI. Thank you lass

And I love your icon -- what is that a picture of? It almost looks like the moving walkway in the O'Hare United terminal, but the lights are sort of in different places, so I don't think it is. Very cool, though.

I love how you're able to creep inside Wes and Fred's heads and tell us so much about them though body language and their actions. Still giggling over Fred's reaction to the Spangel loving that took place a century ago.

Spike's diagnose sound grim - very similar situation an AIDs patient would find himself in, no immune system. Yet he's not showing signs of any illness or disease. Hmmm... Now I'm really curious as to what he got himself into.

Heeeeeeeee! I like it. A friend of mine once said that she wanted to be employed in fandom because she did fandom better than anything else. I wish I could make my living from just doing fanfic and reviews and playing around like that. What a life!

Yeah, I wondered if the Spike thing was too close a parallel with AIDS, but I went ahead with it anyway, i think because I sort of know where it's going to go. Being vaguely in control of the characters helps. ;-)
