Life is cool #112
Mar. 28th, 2004 02:46 pmI was out breaking my back in the garden and I looked up to see five bald eagles circling over my neighborhood. Five. Bald eagles.
They hung around long enough for me to watch for a while, dust off, creep into the house, and get my binoculars. There were only two of them by then, but it was a male and female pair, and the male had what looked to be about a four-foot wingspan. He's a big boy. They just circled around and around, floating in the blue sky against a faint daytime quarter-moon, and then left eventually, followed by screeing seagulls.
This is my neighborhood. A view of the Olympic mountains just up the street, a greenbelt with eagles and red-tailed hawks, a spectacular beach and park ten minutes' walk from my house. I live in the coolest place. :-D
