Mar. 31st, 2004 05:17 pmI didn't get the dream freelance job. She said the other person did better on the article, and the articles are the main responsibility for the freelancer. Which is weird, considering all the emphasis she put on the copyediting skills, but I've learned these things never make sense. Needless to say, I'm devastated. She made noises about possibly working on projects because there's so much coming out in the next few months, but it was the six-month gig I really wanted so badly.
Now I have to regroup and realize that I'm going to be stuck doing contract work that's pretty much the same thing I've come to loathe in the past few months. And be scared to death about my financial situation. Thanks to everyone, though, for your good thoughts.
