Many, many thanks
Dec. 10th, 2004 08:08 pmAll of you on my Flist are so unbelievably wonderful. I put out a request thinking maybe a couple folks might have one or possibly two songs for my Christmas tape resucitation efforts, and I got flooded with wonderful music. Thank you all so much! I'm happily putting together a facsimile of my old tape (I confess I do not miss Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree nor Run Run Rudolph, as I had just gotten to the point where I couldn't listen to them anymore, even though the tape is absurdly sentimental) and I'm bopping to my Christmas tunes and having a wonderful evening despite the torrential rain and a sore mouth. For the first time in decades I won't have to adjust the volume every five seconds!
I know these are not that unusual (well, the Louis Armstrong might be) or hard to get, but just in case, I thought I'd put these up as thanks. I have much more obscure non-Christmas music that I can offer as thanks, and, weirdly, Halloween stuff. Also if you need Ramones Christmas songs, let me know. ;-) But for some reason I've rarely replaced my holiday vinyl with digital stuff.
Song for a Winter's Night-- Sarah McLachlan's surprisingly pretty version of the Gordon Lightfoot classic
2000 Miles , the Pretenders' Christmas song
'Zat You, Santa Claus? a really cute and funny Louis Armstrong song
Just right click (or option click for Maccers) and save to your computer. I'll try to see if I can come up with something more unusual to share. You guys are so wonderful!
