I'm off to see my sister this evening. Wish me luck -- I do not fly well on non-holidays and deliberately avoid travel on holidays, so this is going to freak me something fierce. I'm also kind of wigged because Sis_r told me last night she's going to be at the hospital all day for a blood transfusion. The iron they've been giving her to counteract the anemia is causing her massive problems and she is extremely weak and wasted. I wish they could wait till Saturday and then I could give her the blood -- it's pretty rare when you can get an exact match for your blood -- but she doesn't want to. "It's two pints!" she said, and I told her they do direct transfusions all the time, it's not a big deal. I donate blood all the time and I've never once experienced weakness or problems after one pint, two ain't gonna kill me.

And dear god, I hope I don't get sick again. I sent myself my working copy of the next chapter of Measure so I hope I can work on that and not feel like I'm on my own deathbed, like last time. the bad part is that I got my new Darth Vader refrigerator last night, but I won't have time to enjoy it and stock it full of goodies. It's all empty, with just condiments to decorate its sharp looking interior.
