  1. buffy the vampire slayer:
It took a lot of convincing to make me watch the premiere of this show, because I'd loved the movie so very much. But when I found out Anthony Stewart Head was in it, I went. And never, ever regretted it. Some of my dearest friends in fandom came from our mutual love of this series.
  2. comics:
I don't have the fannish love for these that some have, in the sense that I can translate it to fic, but I love comics. I love the style of the storytelling -- it's great fiction, but with pictures!
  3. fast and the furious:
Gayer than any gay movie ever made. But that's not why I love it. It's gorgeous to look at, perfectly paced, fun, stylish, cool, and has two of the hottest leads ever sparking off each other like nobody's business.
  4. great britain:
If I never traveled anywhere else except there, I'd still be happy. For a brief time I'd considered moving there, but the pet quarantine pretty much killed that. I've been an Anglophile all my life.
  5. mds:
Hah! What strange timing, considering I just wrote a post singing the praises of William Fichtner, who starred in this. It was an awful, awful show, but had a wonderful relationship with Fichtner and John Hannah, and I loved it so. Poor MDs.
  6. movies:
I became a film buff around 11, and it's been my life since then. Movies are everything. Good, bad, indifferent... movies are everything.
  7. numb3rs:
My current obsession on TV. When did Rob Morrow get so freakin' hot? He singes my eyelashes. Charlie makes me squee. I love this show so much I can't stop writing essays about it -- the characters, the hot guys... the family stuff.
  8. skinner:
One of my favorite clams of all time. I love characters who want to do the right thing, but are compromised by something else. I love characters who don't talk about themselves, but show their feelings through actions. Skinner is all that and more.
  9. spuffy:
Even season six couldn't kill my spuffy-love. My spuffy heart will not die, no matter how much I try to kill it. Die, spuffy-heart! It will not. So wrong they're right pairings are always, always my doom. I loved Spike, but when he fell for Buffy, I LOVED him.
  10. tv:
Along with movies and music, pretty much my whole life. The living room is set up for the TV. My schedule is based on the TV. Anyone who says TV is bad or bad for you? I excise from my life.

WHY are there still tourists in Seattle driving around looking at the water ("Look, Doris! There's water and stuff! And you can see mountains behind the water!") and going 15 miles per hour when I am in a rush? Why? Summer's over! Make them go away!

Tourists! DIEdiedidididie....

Ditto for tourists in SF - "Oh look Doris! There's a steetcar dating for 1912. Let's get on with our huge backpacks and even larger baby carriage and block the exit! Let's sit in the seats plainly labled 'For disabled and elderly passangers. ' In four languages!" Let's stand five abreast in the middle of a busy sidewalk and act oblivious of the locals who are trying to politely get around you. Let's stand at the cash register and bombard the workperson at the desk with 24 thousand questions. Let's meander into a neighborhood book store and do the same to the very nice, very patient and very overworked clerks. Let's get what we can for free!"

Girrrr...It's just too damn bad that SF's biggest cash cow these days is tourists because they are (often) a rude and clueless bunch. The concept of getting a map to the city is beyond them or even, trying to find out where you are supposed to go. NO - let's stop a local and bombard them with questions because the aforesaid local can't possibly have a real life.

I promise when we come to visit Seattle, we'll stand in the streets and gawk and nudge each other in awe at the water falling from the sky. Just for you.
