Crap. I think I forgot how to vid.

This intro sucks. I suck. Bleh. It doesn't help that all these amazing vidders are spewing forth all these amazing vids lately. ::shakes fist at amazing vidders::

Nope, I don't believe you. Sorry! :-) *watches After Rain again*

Um... what have you been watching that's so amazing, can I ask?

It's true! I can't seem to come up with anything decent for the music that intros the song, and I keep trying all these things that I think will introduce Jayne as the subject and the world he lives in/violence he does, but it just... it's stupid and bad. I can't figure out a handle to hang it on.

Vids that are amazing are things like the stuff on the Escapade disc like yours (still so, so beautiful after a dozen viewings), like Laura's, like here's luck's stunning Serenity vid... and then she just made a Due South vid too. Wah. Not to mention catching up on the insane vidding projects of so many folks and the wonderful vidlets I didn't get a chance to watch when they were putting them up.

*sympathy*

You know, I don't think I have yet managed to make a vid where I did the intro first. Oh, wait, except maybe for History Repeating. But usually, it's the very last thing I do, or else it is sporking eyes out torture time. Any chance you can leave it for last?

Oh, totally agree about Laura's BSG and here's luck's Serenity vids. I thought maybe I was missing something awesome that was online somewhere. :-) I still can't believe how much I adore Barcelona, given how many mental blocks I had against the character and the singer.

Jayne vid! Yay!

I think I'm totally cursed by the VCR vidding thing. I have never been able to think nonlinearly about vids. I mean, I know there are places I want to put specific shots, but beyond that, I start at the beginning and work my way forward, going back and tweaking as I move along. The only vid I made nonlinearly was Valentine Heart, out of necessity because I didn't have S4 Angel. And it was so hard for me to wrap my antiquated brain around. I really admire you for being able to do that -- to move past the start and figure out how to want to approach it later. I never seem to be able to get past that.

I think I've finally settled on something that isn't too horrid, but it's not like "wow!" when you see it or anything. It's just... an intro. But the vid is serious, which I think a lot of Jayne vids are not, and so there's a bit of an extra burden I wasn't expecting.

(and, speaking of which... I've never felt so uncertain about a vid since I began on the computer, and I have no one to look at it partway through and give me an idea if it sucks or not. Would you mind looking at it? It's just halfway through, and I could post it or something... And if you don't want to or have time to, I *totally* understand and would not have hurt feelings if you say no.)

You know, the funny thing is, I learned the "intro last" thing from Carol. I've tried to do them first, but it just never works. I almost always do ending first, then the bridge, then the rest (often going from the middle out), and the intro dead last.

I'd love to look at your Jayne vid! Thanks for asking me. :D

Bull Poop!

I love your vids. After all, don't I nag you incessantly about a nonexistent M7 vid that I am totally convinced that only you can create? LOL
