Sorry for the all-caps screaming, but I know how hard it is to see things on your f-list.

I'm going to try to go with June 9 for the big carpet fun-day. If you think you can make it, need directions, etc. e-mail me at gwyneth at drizzle dot com. I will plan to have many beverages, snacky things, and feed you well. Or at least some semblance of well. Depending on how many folks turn up, it shouldn't take too long, and then are lots of sitting on the floor pulling up staples or wood type jobs for the less athletic of us.

Oh, I wish I lived closer, I'd be there in a shot. I did this at my old house (except it was just me and my brother) and it sure would have been fun to make a party out of it.

I became a pro at pulling carpet staples out of the floor. Those splinters in your ass are no fun at all, though. *G*

It's also been really dispiriting to rip the carpet up in the office where I first did it last winter and see the awful condition of the floors. I know the living room ones are much worse. And there's pain all over them, some of which I've gotten off, but most of which won't come off till I can afford to have them refinished. Reminds me why I covered them in the first place!!
