Pros vids up at Imeem
Jul. 27th, 2007 11:12 amI put a few of the digitally remastered Professionals vids by the Media Cannibals up at my Imeem page. I was having a lot of trouble with them, though, particularly A Fire Is Burning, our best of the best, I think. It was playing very badly, stuttering and jerking, for both me and a couple folks I asked to test out, but on my Windows machine this morning, it doesn't seem as bad. I do not know what's up with that. I'd love to know what other people are seeing, especially if you're on a Mac or other non-Windows platform. I can't do much about the crap video quality on Imeem, though. ;-) I'm going to try to embed this, but I don't know if it'll work or not.
I also uploaded Detachable Penis, which is always a fun time, and Tender Comrade. If you're interested, I could try to embed those here as well, and see how it goes, if this one works (I am doubtful). I'll attempt a few more at some point here. I got my DSL line upgraded yesterday to a faster speed so it's not quite as much of a task to upload as it was before. Honestly, I feel like such a doof -- I put it off for ages because I understood it to mean I'd have to get new equipment and set all the wireless, etc. up again. But I didn't have to do any of that. Now I'm annoyed with myself for waiting so long. It'll definitely help with work, a lot.

Date: 2007-07-31 01:44 pm (UTC)Um, I actually found my way here by Googling for Media Cannibals because I was wondering if their stuff was available online or on DVD because my VHS tapes won't last much longer... Is there somewhere I can get them other than your imeem site?
Also, the three Pros vids you have put on imeem are three favourites of mine. It was great to see them so clear and crisp. Thanks.

Date: 2007-07-31 04:12 pm (UTC)I have them all, plus a few others non-Pros (mostly mine, because I'm the one putting the disc together and it's been hard to get anyone interested in doing more remasters) vids on a DVD that's available. You can find the info on my vids page (gwynethr.net, user:gwyn, PW: cymru) if you go the dvds page. Just email from the info there if you're interested, it's basically free for the cost of postage.
I have been trying to get the one Wiseguy remaster from the vidders, but no one's been able to provide me with a copy I can use in my program. So right now, the small handful of redone vids are pretty much it.
