Pretty lights on the tree

Just under the wire, I got in a >1k treat fic, so that's over 6k of Yuletide fic, and over 40,000 in the past three and a half weeks. I really, really shouldn't have wasted time writing the 10k Christmas Carol story, that was a complete waste of effort and time. And now I'm coming down with a cold or flu, and it's snowing outside. They said snow-rain mix, but it's definitely snow where I am. We haven't had a white Christmas since around '90 or '91, I think. I'd probably appreciate it if I didn't feel so lousy.

The bad part is that for once I have invitations from many different people for getting together, and now I might not be able to do any of them. Don't want to infect anyone like some damn person infected me. I've been trying to stave this off for three days now and just when I think I was wrong, I won't be sick, it comes back again.

Still--snow! Falling on cedars and spruces and pines!

We got sick too, bleah. Nobody was getting sick and then I noticed a lot of people on my flist on the 22nd or 23rd talking about symptoms. I think it's supposed to be a nasty virus this year.

I'm sorry to hear you're not feeling well, but I'm extremely envious of your snow; it's t-shirt weather here and just doesn't really feel like Christmas.

Also, aw, I liked that Xmas Carol story. Bucky as the (spoiler) was really good. And I liked all the little bits from Dickens.
