Continuing my tradition of posting fic on my birthday, this is the most likely last of the Celluloid Hero stories.
Let the Golden Age Begin (5601 words) by gwyneth rhys
Chapters: 1/1
Fandom: Captain America (Movies), Marvel Cinematic Universe
Rating: General Audiences
Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply
Relationships: Steve Rogers & Sam Wilson
Characters: Steve Rogers, Sam Wilson
Additional Tags: Friendship, Grief/Mourning, Reminiscing, Golden Age Hollywood, Movie Night, Steve Rogers and the 21st Century
Series: Part 4 of Celluloid Hero
Summary:
--
In other news, little Mr. Baby is still kind of lethargic and doesn't eat much, but he's at least eating something if I ply him with treats or deli meat, and he's using his litter box, although a lot less than normal. He seems kind of...sad, I guess, but I'm trying to cuddle him as much as I can and just generally be nice, to make up for having to give him medicine.
And enough people have encouraged me to do some sort of crowd-funding help that I'll probably do a small go fund me or whatever, and I made a ko-fi page. I think it's mostly pointless, because ko-fi only seems to be useful to people who are popular, especially artists, and I am neither, but if you want to throw the price of a coffee my way, the page is here, and I will be embarrassed but also eternally grateful. It's so weird--I used to have money! And donated to people all the time! And now everything's a struggle. If you'd rather not use that site but still want to throw something at me, my paypal is gwynethr@gmail.com
I've focused on the ergonomic computer stuff for right now on the ko-fi page, because my plans for those items took a pretty big hit from the cat stuff, and the medical bills for the fall in Chicago at Vividcon. There's not a lot on the page yet, but maybe I will be able to create some content to post over there, we'll see.

Summary:
The story had brought Steve up with a short, sharp shock: he’d been blinded by his own self-pity and loneliness and never considered the way his death had affected his acquaintances in Hollywood.

Date: 2018-11-29 12:48 am (UTC)It's a great finale, lovely and heartbreaking. (And I sense a little sparkage between Sam and Steve there! maybe more than a little.) I've loved this series so much.
