gwynOver three thousand words of my Yuletide fic today in one sitting--booyah! I kind of can't believe it. I've been struggling with the idea for so long, whether to write the story I wanted to write (which I know would be challenging) or just toss off something simpler to make the word count. I still don't know if this will be any good, but it's feeling more doable. I wish I could make it something a little less people in a white room talking, but we'll see how the editing process goes.
For the first day of the December meme,daria234 asked: A vid you would like to make or see made for a rare pairing.
Okay, this goes back a ways, but I have always wished I could have made the Lord King Bad Vid I had in mind for Veronica/Weevil on Veronica Mars. I made one Veronica/Weevil vid, but it was short and even then I had a lot of trouble finding enough clips, especially the right kind of clips. It seems, when you're watching the show, that there is an abundance of scenes with the two of them together. But then you start clipping, and you realize how much of them are either talky face or extremely static shots, and Weevil's mostly missing from S3. I don't know if the movie would change things or not. Probably not, judging by what I remember of their limited scenes together.
I enjoyed the ship with Logan in S1, but not the subsequent years, and I always felt a little weird about wishing Veronica and Weevil would get together. Honestly, I always felt like he was the only one who got her besides Wallace, and I didn't want her and Wallace's friendship to turn into something else. So I always secretly wished for it, even though I felt very alone in it (not that there weren't other fans of the pairing, there were, but let's face it, not many of us). And this vid would have been EPIC and so LKBV it would have HURT. Seriously--Patrick Swayze's She's Like the Wind. EPIC I TELL YOU. My inner 12-year-old, which is what a LKBV should be about, would have been so happy. I laugh every fucking time I think about it. I laugh like a drain. I laugh so hard I get tears in my eyes.
But the likelihood of me ever making it is really small. And if anyone sees this who wants to tackle it? I will love you forever and ever and build shrines to you and buy you drinks till you pass out on the floor the next time I see you. Because think of it: Just a fool to believe I have anything she needs. She's out of my league. EPIC FEELS.

There was that nice hug in the movie...
