So this year I wrote two Kings stories for Yuletide. The first was my assignment, and the second was one I wrote for Destina as a treat because she was an awesome beta who wrestled my nearly 13,000-word story to the ground for me and made it way better than it had any hope of being otherwise. Also, she ended up on the pinch hit list TWICE and that is shit that should just not happen to anyone.

I am so glad you liked it--it's funny, I knew my story was from you because it was so gorgeous, and that made me even happier that I was able to squeeze in a story for you. I might even, someday, maybe, continue it into the series, we'll see. If you decide to come to Escapade or stop in for a visit, maybe we can talk plot.

You know, until this year, the time I was on the pinch hit list was the best Yuletide in terms of gifts I was given I've ever had. I got some amazing stories, all the more amazing because they were written at the last minute. But TWICE? That's just cruel! And so I was really glad to be able to contribute, and she got some really lovely gifts.
