Lately, I am prone to violence
Apr. 9th, 2003 10:38 amI feel as if lately all I post here is curse-filled foul-language posts directed at networks, and now I have another one, the kind where I realize I could easily, if I had access to my friend's Uzi, go in and kill everyone at our local UPN affiliate.
Next week's NEW Buffy is going to be pre-empted for a fucking baseball game. Because, you know, there aren't 500 baseball games per season, so it's important to show every single one. And who cares that there are only 5 more episodes of your lynchpin show? So all of you in western washington whose UPN affiliate is KSTW, we won't get to see Buffy until nearly a week later -- on Sunday, at 8 pm. Currently, KSTW's schedule says they're showing Out of My Mind in that slot, but I sent them a horrible, swearing email and they responded that it would be on that Sunday the 20th at 8. I am going to also keep calling them. If you feel like calling them too, to express your displeasure and disgust, their number is 206-441-1111. Call early, call often!
I also have no idea if this is going to continue -- if the rest of the Buffy schedule will be affected. If I can get through to someone in programming, I will ask.
And Spike looked SO yummy on the teaser they showed at the end of the repeat of Never Leave Me last night! Absolutely edible! And Seattleites won't get to see it! I fucking hate these stupid bastards. I didn't think it was possible for me to hate the Mariners, their fans, and the network that shows their games more than I did, but I do now. I wish for an earthquake to swallow the stadium that we were forced to pay for (voters in this state turned down a funding initiative to build a new baseball-only stadium a number of years ago; the owners of the team went on television and cried -- I am NOT making that up -- and blackmailed legislators by saying they would take their ball team and go elsewhere until the legislature agreed to overturn the vote of the people and make us pay for the stadium with higher sales taxes), with all the asinine fans in it.
And on a cheerier note, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to
merryish!!!!

Date: 2003-04-11 11:30 am (UTC)Even knowing that there's a 90% chance I'll get it Monday night, I'm still upset. I mean, there's only a few episodes left, and HUNDREDS of baseball games. Feh!
