Finished the F&F death story last night. Not finished finished, but the chassis and the body are together, and now I have to do the detailing. I already have a couple segments needing serious rewrites in my head, especially the smut scenes. There's nothing like a good wallow in someone else's pain and suffering to help you cope with your own, I always say.

It's going to be a busy fic month -- I already have the next chapter of Measure of a Man out to beta (sweet_ali, did you ever get the attachment? And would you like a gmail invite, by any chance, if it might help overcome yahoo problems? I have six invites and would gladly give you one), and then there's the death story for the Fast and the Furious, and now I can get cracking on part 3 of Ciudad de Estrellas, too. I have to really get cracking on that, because I have a tradition of posting a story on my birthday and that's at the end of the month, so I have a lot of writing to do between now and then, and to give it enough time for a beta. Yoiks.

So hopefully a few updates a-comin'.

hey there, sorry i didn't get back to you til now, i've been all behind on LJ.

And i actually ahve a gmail account, but i hardly ever use it.I still ahve yet to reieve the second email from you with the attachment. Um... just send it to the aol mail i gave you. I don't think i've ever had a problem getting attachments on that email before.

Hmmm... I don't understand this, I sent it three days ago. It's weird, I never have trouble with my yahoo account unless they're acting funky, so I don't quite get why yours hates me so much.

Tell you what -- I'm just basically drowning right now what with my aunt's memorial service and a bunch of other problems. I'll just go ahead and post it when I can, and if you find some egregious stuff, let me know and I'll change it later when I have a bit more time. Does that sound like it would work? Otherwise I'm going to be sitting on it for ages and people will pelt me with rotten fruit.

I would like to figure out a way to get these things to you, though...

Oh sweetie, i didn't even see your psot about your aunt's death until you just mentioned this and i went to check your LJ. I'm so sorry. Especially to be bothering you with the pettiness of fandom stuff.

As for sending me the chapter, it's up to you. It's your work. I'd love to chekc it out beforehand, but if you want to post it, go ahead. I still say send it to my AOL email. i notice recently a lot of messages on my Yahoo account have been bouncing and sometimes i won't get the email at all or if i'm lucky, a day or 2 later. However, i *did* get your original email, there just was no attachment and after i replied to you, i never got another in response, which si confusing.

I woudl say to always send the email to both my aol and yahoo. I dont' check my aol as much, but i do check it. And just leave me an LJ comment to let me know when it's coming so i can tell you for sure that it wasn't bounced.

And on an entirely different note, i'm really incredibly sorry for your loss. I know that doesn't do much, but you and your family are in my thoughts, as always.
