A desperate plea for Mag 7 help

I'm making a Magnificent 7 vid for Escapade and am trying to use only the episodes I've taped off the Hallmark channel showings, because their station ID bugs are more tolerable than TNN's ghastly five inch high Roy Lichtenstein logos; the quality of the broadcast is also better. For the one ep I was missing, a friend loaned me her CBS original off air.

Does anyone on my flist have a copy of "Witness," and would you be willing to loan it to me? For some reason I am missing two eps I was absolutely certain I had taped, but Witness has some really important scenes that I need for the vid. I can't find the tape anywhere (hey mlyn, did it by any chance escape from the bag o' tapes? Could it be running rogue over at your place?). Apparently no one locally taped any of the Hallmark airings. I'll take a copy if it's of decent quality; and will of course pay all postage and handling costs. Or if you know someone who might have a copy of either the Hallmark airing or the CBS airing, could you give me their address? I have no shame and am willing to grovel.

I really, really don't want to use those horrible TNN airings -- the source is bad enough, but to have that horrid logo suddenly thrust into the vid... arg. It's possible fic could be involved. The vid is going to be utter crap, I'm sure -- I've never had so much trouble making one and it's just not going well -- but it is definitely inspiring me to feel the love all over again, and if I can come up with an idea, maybe there's a story forthcoming. So, help!

I'll poke around when I get back this afternoon. I'm pretty sure I have Witness off of CBS, but I need to find the cache of tapes.

Thank you! It looks like Maygra has on that DVD set she bought, but if it turns out to not be workable, I will definitely pester you -- so glad others had the foresight to tape that off CBS, when I didn't. I look back now and just go, durrrr.

I did order a copy of all eps on DVD from somewhere but I don't recall what run they were taped from (and I'm not entirely sure of the quality, although it would be on DVD rather than tape if that makes a difference..) I'll check.

Looks like CBS first run...not entirely sure of the quality (I don't think it's svhs...) But I'll be glad to drop the whole think into UPS tomorrow and sendit to you.

Yet one more reason to love you! Hopefully I can make even marginal quality work okay -- I'm actually thinking of possibly sepia-toning some of the sequences to help fix the quality issues -- but it's that darn logo that I'm most concerned about. So this would be great -- and don't worry about all of them, just Witness is fine. I finally finished capturing last night (which is how I discovered it was missing!) so all the other clips are there. But it was just such a struggle to figure out how to start the vid... I'll pop you my address and stuff, and send some money down for postage. Thank you thank you!

No problem. Really. And don't worry abbut postage, just send them back when you're done *Really*. all the episodes are on two DVD's so if you can use any of them chances are you can either copy them or something...

Just send me a copy of the vid when you're done [g] cause you know I'm gonna be panting for it and maybe it will kickstart my own M7 love again! Win/win all around.
