No asbestos in the outside walls! So, so happy. I was looking at a couple thousand more dollars, and with the plumbing increasing so much, that will definitely help.
And they tore out both the old water heater and the furnace this afternoon, which as been interesting. Keep fingers crossed for more unseasonably nice weather. They rigged up a temporary water heater in the backyard until the walls are put in and they can bring in the permanent tankless water heater. It looks like a space capsule landed in my backyard with all the wires and tubes and such, from my office window view.
Brent came in with some plastic bags and said, "Um, where are the vents?" And I looked at him funny and he said, "spiderific." So he covered all the vents with the plastic bags and firmly put the vent covers back on for a tight seal. On all of them. He's so great.
