1033 and counting

Yuletide story is a-posted. I'm terrified I did something wrong on the anonymity end, but I think it's right. For the life of me I couldn't figure out how to get some extra space before section breaks, and couldn't figure out what the code for some kind of line or something was, but I guess it'll be okay with bold subheads or whatever. It's definitely a bit different. And the pseud thing still confuses me, but I'm hoping that's okay too. When I posted it was at 943, when I checked back a bit later, it was at 1033. It will be interesting to see what the number is in the morning, considering how close it looks like a lot of people I know are cutting it. Me, too.

Beta-ing made all the difference and helped tremendously. I still think it's bad, but was told it was spot on, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it's true. This year was hard.

I can't wait to see the stories. I'm going to be travelling all night on the 25th/26th and sleeping during the day, probably, so I won't get to read a lot at first, and I'm sure my friend isn't going to want me to spend all my time with my nose in his computer reading fanfic when he paid to bring me out there. But I've beta'd a couple of really good stories and I'm so interested to see what gets out there. Not to mention my own!

I confess, I do kind of miss that little thing that tells you you're the x number posted. It's like getting a little graduation certificate or something.

Ah ha! hr I really couldn't think what I was looking for, and it didn't give me any clues for the initials. I think, judging by how many people are going up against the deadline in the next ten minutes, I will probably just leave it as is for now. ;-)

To be honest I don't understand the fanfic thing... or vidding to music. I know people enjoy it but I just don't understand it.

I'm in it for the parody/satire aspect of vidding.
