Date: 2019-10-09 02:06 am (UTC)I remember the end of this episode really packing a wallop, and really being impressed with how well the music was used.
I admit that I did say "Hey - Ghostfacer!" out loud when "Hatless" aired...
I'm not proud. And our first real encounter with Wynn Duffy. Who is just wonderful.

Date: 2019-10-11 04:41 am (UTC)Wynn Duffy was one of the characters who for me was fun in small doses, but who I thought they used a little too much in later seasons. It'll be interesting to see what I think when we get to those seasons again. That standoff, though, was one of my favorites, and has a fave Raylan line: "I've shot people I like more for less." Brilliant.

Date: 2019-10-10 05:35 am (UTC)i loved every moment of the hostage situation! I love bottle episodes in general, which this almost is. I don't know why it was hot seeing Tim go into action. :D :D
"You the shooter?" Raylan just gives off that vibe lol. The look Art gives him when he agrees he's a better shot. <3
"I'm officially requisitioning this chicken."
"If that don't cool it down and heat it up at the same time." hee. ilu raylan.
I totally adore AUSA Vasquez.
Papa Crowder is legitimatley intimidating.
Re: Blowback
Date: 2019-10-11 04:45 am (UTC)I just love watching Raylan suss out a situation and resolve it with his conversational, loose style. He can afford to be like that because he knows that he can handle any situation by backing it up with extreme competence.
Hatless
Date: 2019-10-10 03:39 pm (UTC)The casting for Gary is perfect. Just the right level of smarmy and failed con artist.
Poor Raylan, hatless. Love the character choice of going for his hat only to find it missing.
"Horse stables for the kids. It was gonna be true Kentucky." LOL! Gary was on to something there. I want horse stables with my "shopping destinations."
"Apparently Tahiti sucks." hee <3 raylan.
Honestly I would lysol that hat.
Re: Hatless
Date: 2019-10-11 04:50 am (UTC)So many people keep putting Raylan's hat on! And he doesn't take it to the dry cleaners for sanitizing and reblocking! I would NOT put that thing on my head again.
he might be the angriest man, but he's also the most willing to take the bigger man's part and not get into it again with those guys. When push comes to shove, he'll take the less fighty way out, as long as you respect what he's doing.
