Date: 2020-04-29 02:56 am (UTC)5.11 - Art being shot is a real blow, but I can't help but be pissed off at Mrs. Art for berating Raylan for not being there. Why wasn't he there there, lady? Because your husband told him to fuck off, so that's on Art, not Raylan. Like, way to add to Raylan's daddy issues.
The hotel scene with Boyd, Duffy and Katherine is quite good. The interplay between the characters and the timing of everything is really the kind of thing this shows does so well. And the interrogation scene with Katherine and Vasquez is a delight. It's so nice to have Steenburgen playing against her wholesome type. The second part of the scene, with the cigarette pack, is truly inspired, and I love it.
The whole thing with Kendall Crowe claiming he shot Art is such crap. I cannot believe any of the very smart people in the room - other than Raylan, who knows better - buy such a "perfect" story. Why are they suddenly so credulous when everyone knows the Crowes are always lying?

Date: 2020-05-05 08:49 pm (UTC)Though I will forgive so much because Raylan is literally the only character I've ever seen use "whence" correctly when he says he will return something whence it came. Bless you, Raylan, I love you more than anyone.

Date: 2020-04-29 05:40 am (UTC)I honestly love seeing Raylan clock brother crowe with a briefcase.
"he don't raise his hands to us" is Dewey's best quality.
"Damn, Dickie," "Damn, Dewey," awwww that was kind of sweet actually.
Oooh, I forgot about Mary Steenburgen.
Okay I admit I laughed when middle brother crowe fell in the hole, but then was like ho shit when he turned over. kinda sad and hilarious that he literally "fell on his sword."
I'm just relieved I don't have to see middle brother crowe again.

So...Raylan, you are my TV god and it almost makes up for him constantly saying "reelator."

Date: 2020-04-29 06:58 am (UTC)Love the marshal pow wow in the hallway. Some good dynamics between the 3 here, and obviously Rachel is still the cool voice of reason. Not in the least surprising Art named her for interim chief.
Boyd at his best, blowing shit up. Or blowing people up. Bye bye Mr. Picker.
I don't see how sister crowe can call herself a mother letting kendal take the blame. they really are the worst family ever.
