Somehow yesterday, after I got home from running a lot of errands, I settled in to watch some TV and go through tumblr, and I felt this incredible pain in my wrist and hand, and could hardly use it. There is swelling on the outside, a puffy little ball, and the bottom of the back of my hand is puffy, but I don't recall hitting anything or twisting it at all. I was just sitting there. For most of the night and this morning it's been bad, I can't put any weight on it or turn anything/hold something that requires grip strength, and typing is a bitch, but I just cannot figure out what's wrong. It's slightly better this morning. I really wanted to take advantage of the last day without rain it looks like we'll have for a long time to get out in the garden, but whatever the hell is wrong is not fully going away.

Which is why no rec yesterday.

So, after the first episode of this season of The Expanse, I desperately wanted Amos/Chrisjen shipfic, and went to look for some. And...there is next to nothing. Why are people failing me so miserably on the Amos and Avasarala front? He's perfect for a fling with her--he would expect nothing and yet know exactly how to take care of her needs. Anyways, this is one of the few things I could find, and it's got some great Amos insights (definitely requires that you are caught up on The Expanse for S501).

I was so charmed by the Christmas movie Klaus when I watched it on Netflix this year that I ended up watching it a couple times more. This is a short double drabble that picks up from the movie's ending.

I'm so sorry your body decided to produce a random, painful mystery effect. Those always suck a lot, like insult on top of injury. I hope it'll subside quickly and on its own.

Yeah, it's my one with the really bad arthritis, and at first I thought it must be some kind of response to that, but it's on the opposite side, so... I just want to make sure it doesn't happen again, but I have no idea what it was!

Honestly, I am really looking forward to the day I can implant my consciousness into an android body. I don't care what it looks like: I just want to not hurt and be able to reach high shelves...
