Beta vid?

Is there anyone who'd be willing to beta a vid for the series Awake (from last year, starring Jason Isaacs). It'd be ideal if you know the series, but if I can't get someone who does, it's probably good if you can parse vids marginally well.

I'm finally back among the land of the living. Not going to say I'm in great shape, but I'm at a point where I cough only when I'm active or talking a lot. It's kind of amazing to lose that much time in your life over something like that.

Got my plane reservations for Boston/UK yesterday, so now it's really happening. I have to get the hotels nailed down and such. I'm not going to get nearly as much time as I'd like in any one place, but if there are any London or Cardiff based folks on my flist who might want to meet up, drop me a line, OK? I won't be able to get to Manchester as I'd hoped (wah), but if anyone's near those two cities, I'd love to see some fan folks!

I know the series well and would be happy to-- but I'm largely offline until after Easter, other than quick jumps on and off. I wouldn't be able to sit down and dedicate brain cells until then.

Arg, yeah, I have to get it to Vidukon before that, so it doesn't sound like it'll work out. But I appreciate it! And of course, you can see it if you want before the con, so you don't have to wait. ;-)

1) Sorry to hear you won't be able to make it to M'chester (for totally selfish reasons) but looking forward to seeing you in Cardiff.

2) I do know Awake (still morning it's loss) and might have a bit of spare time this weekend to do a beta for you. Since I've not done if for you before I'd be grateful if you could give me some guidance what kind of beta service you're looking for (machete, concrit, cheerleading) and what particular issues you'd want me to comment on.

I know, I am really bummed that I can't figure out a way to do everything I wanted to -- it sounded like a lot of fun to train it up to Manchester with you, and I had hoped to maybe meet up with some other fen I know who live there. But let's definitely plan to spend some time at the con, OK? I'm pretty hard to miss, especially in Europe -- I'm extremely tall, so I tend to stand out in a crowd. ;-)

Honestly - 30 doesn't really qualify as a crowd - I think it would be extremely hard work to try and 'not' meet somebody the whole weekend. ;)
